Texas State Guard Training & PME
The Texas State Guard provides Professional Military Education (PME) for service members to expand their knowledge of
military history, protocols and practices as well as to hone leadership skills and prepare themselves
for promotion. Note there is not a TXSG Boot Camp or TXSG Basic Training requirement.
Service Members have opportunities in the following areas:
» Initial Entry Training - IET
» Basic Orientation Training - BOT (Annual Training - AT)
» Basic Non-commissioned Officer Course - BNCOC (E-3 through E-5)
» Advanced Non-commissioned Officer Course - ANCOC (E-6 through E-9)
» Officers Candidate School - OCS
» Basic Officer Course - BOC (O-1 through O-2)
» Advanced Officer Course - AOC (O-3 through O-4)
» Command and Staff College (O-5 through O-6)
